"If you have not seen or heard The Halls perform yet, then you have identified a need you must satisfy." - 4ZZZ Radio

Welcome to The Halls: mysterious, atmospheric chambers, echoing with catchy riffs, epic live walls of sound and soaring melodies.

The primary songwriters behind the glossy, powerful gothic pop of The Halls are Bec – a Sydney-born classic pop lover with a big voice – and guit-artist Ross, a laid-back, metal-hearted 'pun king' from Australia's wild north. Once described as 'shiver pop', The Halls' recordings are solid, considered pieces – yet difficult to pigeonhole. Somehow fresh and nostalgic at once, the band regularly attracts the comment 'This reminds me of something, but I can't put my finger on what!'

The Halls’ duo morphs into a quartet for shows, when contributors and live band-mates Ged and James fill out support guitar and drums, respectively. Live, The Halls are a surprising tour de force, flitting from intricate and delicate to sparse and epic, to grungy and trashy. Comparisons have been made to The Pixies, Siouxsie & the Banshees, The Jezabels and The Cure.

The Halls have played Valley Fiesta festival and supported the release shows of friends such as The Bear Hunt, The Keepaways, Blonde on Blonde, Golden Age of Ballooning and more. Kindred spirits and close collaborators for over three years, Ross and Bec have spent the last couple years playing shows, wrapping an East Coast tour, making friends, hibernating, recording, making mistakes...and then realising there are no mistakes when it comes to art. This side of 2016 will see them drop two new singles, Lemonade and City Lights - as well as two new EPs and some further surprises later in the year.
